• Touch screen operator interface and machine operation feedback, including number of teeth being sharpened per minute, tooth shape, and picture of tooth geometry;
• Intel® computer gives operator control over stock removal (independent adjustment for face and gullet) and tooth geometry;
• Brushless servo motors and ball screws provide the power to advance even large saws and the accuracy for precise grinding wheel positioning;
• 2 HP grinding wheel motor with built-in electronic variable speed control and poly-V belt drive for powerful and smooth grinding;
• On board library of 100s of conventional and Variable Pitch & Depth (VPD) saw teeth;
• New teeth or VPD patterns can be modified at the console and saved to the library;
• DXF (Drawing Interchange File) export capability: the operator can download tooth geometry to a diskette that sawmakers can use to program a laser or waterjet to replicate the exact tooth shape;
• Constant power supply to the PC to minimize machine interruption;
• Heavy duty arbor bearings and one-piece grinding wheel arbor for superior grinding results from the same standard wheels most sawmills already own;
• Variable speed up to 35 teeth per minute;
• “Zone Grinding” option allows the operator to adjust the speed that the wheel traverses the tooth geometry for exceptionally sharp saws and smooth gullets;
• Self-cleaning carbide faceplate;
